Actually my first impression started in the road, then we were driving to Abrud. I was really astonished if I saw cows on the road. I had heart that cows are running on the car roads, but I was thinking that its more overloaded story, but its really like this if you are driving through the village. Some way it reminds my childhood then I was living in a small village in Estonia then Estonia belonged to Soviet Union till 1991.

25th July we had opportunity to go and visit the Gypsies place what was quite extraordinary view to us, how they are living, how they look like, how curious they are, how much they like to be photographed and so one. From there I got idea to make a documentary of Gypsies life near the Abrud.

After this extraordinary 30 minutes what we were in Gypsies place we hitchhiked to Rosia Montana. It was quite fun ride on the car cart and to see the horses on the road. Ow, Rosia Montana is so small village, but the nature is beautiful and people are nice. Sadly when we were in goldmines we didn’t find any gold, but we have lots of time to find some and built the own school :P

26th-27th July we were in Sighisoara Medieval Festival. The old town of Sighioara was very impressive and I'm very clad that I have visited this place.

During this trip I learnt lots of thing about Romania: about culture, commons, traditions. For instance I was amazed that if I'm hitchhiking in Romania I should pay for driver and I was surprised about Gypsies children who were working in this festival as a trash mans. I'm surprised how much Romanians can eat white bread:) I got to know more about American people and even more I got to know “romanian time”, it means if you have arranged something at 2 o’clock then actually it means 3 o’clock..

Ow, then I was in On arrival training in Moneasa - 16th - 22th of July, I had my first activity as a photographer in the wedding. It was a great opportunity what I'll never forget. Good practice as a photographer, very good opportunity to get to know Romanian people, traditions and culture.

At the moment I'm planning some changes in evsromanian site and I would like to arrange photoshooting competition between volunteers in different subjects. Pictures will be published on the website and maybe in the end there will be the exhibition of the best ones in
Arad. The point could be show Romania in different views and people eyes. Different topics could be for instance: Romanian nature, Romanian people, Romanian children, volunteers in Romania, black and white, I, as a volunteer in Romania, street fashion in Arad, old people, Romanian food, Surrealism, Church, public transport, Dacia, tsuika, beautiful woman, sightseeing.
I really hope that everybody will goes with it and we gonna have very nice pictures of Romania.

Next week we will be have our first project in Rosia Montana as we are organizing the summer camp there on 4th-8th August:) We are making cooperation work with other volunteers in Sintea Mare who just arrived Abrud. The goal will be exchange the experiences and ideas:) Multumesc Juliane and Daniela for coming!

In conclusion, Romania is full of adventures and I'm very happy to be here. Now I'm even more happy after our very nice barbecue and singing aound the table than Daniela was playing the guitar. At this point I was really thinking how happy I am that I'm surrounded with so wonderful people and I was really clad that I had this courage and a bit craziness to come here for a half an year.

Salut/Ceau!
